The Hanger (Hooks Sold Separately)

The Hanger, along with the hooks is a very convenient design, which I’m very pleased with. Very easy to assemble but I did find that not all the screws I had that came with it would reach all the way through so i had to remove the screw head covers in order to bolt it all together. I’ve not used it long but the couple of times i have used it its held my bag no problem. The issues that i have with it are that due to its positioning on the bike, and probably the size of my backpack, my heal keeps hitting the bag at various times as my foot moves close to the rear wheel while cycling, this is a frustration when riding, having to remember to shift my foot forward a bit. The only option i can see is somehow raising the hanger, how i don’t know. It is also worth mentioning that because of how low it is (at least with my specific pannier) it is best to mount it on the left side so that the back isn’t scraping against the chain or rear cassette. It is worth mentioning that it is important to tie the loose ends of the backpack straps at the front every time you ride. If this isn’t done then the ends will get caught in the wheel as you ride.
Purchasing this item was a great experience. I initially purchased just the hooks (Bird of Prey), thinking i would get both pieces, only to then read the description properly and see that wasn’t the case. Kyle helpfully got in contact with me about it before I had the chance to reply, making sure I knew that I hadn’t purchased both. He quickly sorted me a refund on request and then I was able to reorder it with the hanger at the same time without any extra hassle. Great communication, couldn’t fault it.
